EGA uses WETEX 2014 to showcase how world-leading Emirati-developed technology is improving efficiency

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) - the jointly-owned, UAE-based aluminium conglomerate to be formed by Mubadala Development Corporation and Investment Corporation of Dubai – is taking full advantage of this year’s Water Energy Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2014) to showcase its positioning and achievements in the core areas covered by the event. H H Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy who opened WETEX 2014 today and visited EGA’s stand. Sheikh Ahmed was briefed by Najeeba Aljabri, Senior Manager, EGA Engineering and Asset Management Department on EGA’s world-leading DX and DX+ cell reduction technology, which uses less energy in the production of aluminium while maintaining EGA’s high quality and purity levels. It also reduces the impact of a smelter’s operations on the environment through improved energy efficiency and minimised emission levels.
