United Arab Emirates, 1 March 2021: Emirates Global Aluminium, the largest industrial company in the UAE outside of oil and gas, marked the collection for recycling of 344,216 kilogrammes of aluminium cans since 1997 through the Emirates Environmental Group’s can collection drive. EGA has been a lead sponsor of the annual campaign since 2011.

Until now, EGA employees collected some 460 kilogrammes of aluminium cans at the company.

Since 1997, the Emirates Environmental Group’s can collection drive has diverted 8,356 cubic metres of waste from landfill and saved more than five thousand tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
