United Arab Emirates, 25 September 2016 : Committed to helping shape the future of the global aluminium sector as well as to promoting the business as well as the economic and social importance of the UAE as a whole, Emirates Global Aluminium (“EGA”) is again the Platinum Sponsor of this year’s Metal Bulletin International Aluminium Conference. Taking place in Madrid, Spain from 27 to 29 September 2016, this is the 31st edition of the annual event and, true to tradition, is expected to attract over 500 aluminium executives from across the value chain around the world. Acknowledging the key role that the event holds in the global industry calendar, EGA has been involved in and supported the annual Metal Bulletin International Aluminium Conference for several years – including hosting the Dubai and Abu Dhabi editions of the event in 2007 and 2014 respectively.
This year’s agenda includes Dr Ali Al Zarouni (Executive Vice President Midstream at EGA) sharing the stage with other senior aluminium executives, as a participant in an executive industry panel tasked with examining and discussing global industry challenges and strategies. Commenting on EGA’s objectives for participating at the event, Dr Al Zarouni said, “International industry events such as the annual Metal Bulletin International Aluminium Conference provide an opportunity for EGA to demonstrate our thought leadership and showcase the business excellence for which our business is renowned. We have built EGA over the years on strong, trust-based relationships with customers, suppliers and other partners; and these events always provide exceptional opportunities to sustain this approach. The EGA delegation is therefore looking forward to engaging in productive discussions with other industry decision-makers at the 2016 event while simultaneously showcasing EGA as a leading player in the global aluminium sector.”
