UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, 9 May 2021: Throughout the month of Ramadan, employees across Emirates Global Aluminium, the largest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates outside oil and gas, collected, donated and delivered food to individuals and families in need across the UAE.

As part of a Ramadan rice-collection drive spearheaded by Emirates Red Crescent and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry. EGA employees collected over 1,300 kilogrammes of rice—more than a quarter of the 5,000 kilogrammes donated in total.

The EGA Youth Council also participated in the Al Ihsan Charity Association’s ‘Ramadan Aman’ campaign, delivering 48 individual Iftar meals to 12 families in need across the UAE.

During this work, the Youth Council volunteers met Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, popularly known as the ‘Green Sheikh’, who expressed his gratitude to the team for their charitable contribution to society.
